My employer defines professional as someone that keeps their desk clean, has nothing on the back of their chair (like a jacket) and is quiet.
you a very stupid you can not define profession i hope you are not pride of what you a lieng
I think a Professional means a person who does the job / task however minute it may be, in the most efficient, smooth, complete to the dot and only the end result seen. He/She can be a road sweeper, a lecturer, a doctor etc. But how he does it and the end result is what is called a professional. example: A Professional doctor is never, ever impatient with his patients. A Professional road sweeper will sweep the road in an organised and systematic way leaving it clean in all corners, dustbins emptied etc.
I lost my job of 15 years because the HR VP felt that I lacked being professional. Perhaps professionals don’t wear their heart out on thier sleeve, or, don’t genuinely care about other people. 28 years of experience in the same company — so it wasn’t lack of expertise. Honesty is a company value, but not one that corporations much like to hear.
i think u need to put the defin.. in a smaller and readable order .. thanks leslie
I would hardly call a road sweeper a professional… He / She would be called a skilled worker. Not a professional. A Professional refers to a specific level of competence. A Doctor is deemed a professional because of his degree, and level of competence achieved therein. A professional has an unusually high level of training and expertise in their field. And they get paid accordingly. This is not to say that there are “professionals” who don’t deserve the status, but if you think a road sweeper can be compared with a doctor, then my best bet about you is that you are simply ignorant. My suggestion is that you try to become a Doctor and then lets see what you say.
A professional Musician, makes his living at his craft and has invested decades of practice and learning to hone his skills before he can get “Professional Pay”. A Person is not a professional simply because he gets paid to do something. It is common here in this country to throw words around… to be politically correct rather than literally correct is an illness. We have an epidemic here.
professinal ay sira
is a woman can do his best at a time when he doesn’t particularly fell like it.
Today a professional is a person who practices an aquired and learned skill, to perform a job for a living. He / She should develop Skills, Knowledge & atttude.
Professional means your work is being measured by the result, rather than time spent on the job.
I couldn’t disagree with JBert more. To think that a person can’t be professional in whatever they do discredits people who do their work in a professional way. It has nothing to do with education level. Not everyone conducts themselves in a professional way. Many doctors, teachers and janitors are not very professional. Yet there are people who are professional at every level. Of course the doctor went to school for a long time and typically earns more money, but that doesn’t automatically mean she is a professional. It means simply that she works in a profession. Yes, there are professional occupations such as doctors and lawyers, but there is professional behavior in all endeavors. Each occupation has its own set of unique skill requirements and those who learn, practice, and apply them well are professional in their behavior.

I am a doctor, and I also could not disagree with JBert more. There are many doctors that are not professional in their work. Kindergarden teachers in the mayhem of recess have been known to maintain more”professional behavior” than some of the doctors I work with.
Professionalism refers more to the quality of work or task accomplished rather than to the educational qualification of people. The fineness and the details one would go into to accomplish their task is professionalism. People who have excelled in their sphere of activity or work without leaving room for any others to find faults with the workmanship is called professionalism and he is a professional at his chosen work. A professional doesn’t need detrails, he cares for his own thought process to be the best in his work.
