Memorial Day, originally called Decoration Day, is a day of remembrance for those who have died in our nation’s service. (more)

Today is a day to remember the brave men and women who have given their lives in defense of our great country.  While my friend Wil made it home safely, some of his friends and fellow Marines didn’t, so please take a moment today to think about why you have the day off.

    Thanks Mike.
I read in a magazine recently on my return trip from AZ about some hollywood Paris Hilton types sending out an invitation to friends for a Memorial Day bash that read, “Even though we have no @#*&”$% clue what Memorial Day really means!” Another great example for young girls to follow.
On top of that, Aaron, T and I were in a pub remembering four of my fallen friends on the holiday and this A-Hole had the nerve to call T on her work Blackberry bitching about a dispute their dog had with ours some months ago.
My assessment: Some people have no fucking clue nor respect.

People never cease to amaze me, and I agree with you about people not
having a clue or respect. Well, at any rate, I hope Paris is having
fun in jail right now. ;-) Maybe she’ll come out a better person. I
seriously doubt it, but one can hope.
