I wish you the best of luck with your new job. After your posting of SpamBayes recommendation on my blog I spent some time reading through your entries here. I found that we had a lot of things in common – great lakes location (I’m in Ohio), we both have similar family structures, some of the same house issues , many of the same interests and both have worked from home the last few years. I have not been completely self-employed, but some of the same scenarios apply. Also, like you, I did some soul searching around the first of the year and realized that along with needing to lose some weight I needed to get things into gear – I’d kind of gotten lazy the last 12-18 months and hadn’t been doing as much work (or side-jobs in my case) as I could have been. I realized I needed to be more proactive.
Finally, I, too, am looking to start a new job soon. I have already been offered the position, but today is actually the day to find out for sure if everything will fall into place or not.
I just wanted to drop a line and tell you that I’ve been watching your blog lately as many of the things you encounter help shed some understanding on my own experiences (or at least let me know that I’m not the only one) and I wanted to thank you for sharing. Thanks and once again good luck with the new job.

Dan,
Thanks! I’m glad someone is reading my blog.
So far, the new job looks really, really promising. I’m looking forward to getting the training wrapped up and starting my actual job.
Hopefully your job offer worked out!
