My mother-in-law died on Sunday. She was recently diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer, but at the time, the doctors said 8-12 months. Noone expected it to happen within a month.
This is by far the toughest experience of my 32 years. It's not that my mother-in-law and I were close...but seeing my wife and her sisters and their step-dad over the past couple of days has pretty much brought me to my knees. I can't imagine what it's like for my wife or her sisters or step-dad. It's been a long time since I've cried this much. As tough and strong as I thought I was, nothing can prepare you for something like this.
Anyway, if I don't post again for awhile, that's the reason.
