Apps that grab focus

Nick Hodges has a great rant titled “Uncontrolled Irritation”.

This is funny stuff:

It's particularly irksome when I typing something, and some other window decides that I don't have any business doing what I want to do and that it must immediately get all of my attention, even though I clearly want my attention on what my attention is on.  Noooo, Windows knows best.  It knows what I should  be looking at, doesn't it.  It knows better than me.  Who the heck am I to want to be typing in that Word document, when some dreadfully important dialog box can't wait for me to look at it. “Look at me now, look at me now!!!!!  NOW!!!!!!!”

I feel your pain. :-)
