To continue from my useful apps and useful utils posts, here are the development tools I *have* to have on a system to be anything close to productive.
1. VS.NET / .NET Framework – duh.

To continue the theme I started in my last post (and to try to jumpstart my blogging again), here are the apps I consider most useful:
1. Mindjet MindManager Pro – I use this for everything from task tracking to software design to article writing.
2. Microsoft Outlook 2003 – do i need to say anything about this one?
3. Sharpreader – I love it until it consumes 150mb+ of RAM.
4. Virtual PC – couldn’t be a software developer without it.
5. Adobe Photoshop – Tried the gimp…didn’t like it.

For those that don’t know, CD Baby is “a little CD store with the best new independent music“.
A list of things that made my CD purchase one of the best:

The content of that same email:

A team of 50 employees inspected your CD and polished it to make sure it was in the best possible condition before mailing.
Our packing specialist from Japan lit a candle and a hush fell over the crowd as he put your CD into the finest gold-lined box that money can buy.
We all had a wonderful celebration afterwards and the whole party marched down the street to the post office where the entire town of Portland waved ‘Bon Voyage!’ to your package, on its way to you, in our private CD Baby jet on this day, Tuesday, March 14th.
